Following the death of his wife and eviction from his home Fred was drinking heavily and suicidal. The House provided him with a secure base from which to rebuild his life. His key worker was able to help him access benefits and his RAF pension. He began to attend counselling to address his drinking and was finally able to move into sheltered accommodation.
