Stuart Townend

A towering giant among songwriters, Stuart’s credits include All My Days (Beautiful Saviour), See What a Morning, How Great the Father’s Love for Us, Say the Word and No 9 in the 2005 BBC Songs of Praise most popular hymn list, In Christ Alone.

His life has been dedicated to serving the church worldwide with excellent music and worship leading, and he’s been found at the front of meetings such as Stoneleigh Bible Week, Spring Harvest, many conferences in the USA, Canada, Singapore, Brazil, Australia and South Africa and almost everywhere the gospel has reached!


He brings credible theological values to his writing, and his musicianship and vocal skills have brought great benefit to many congregations. A selection of recordings on which he can be heard include Personal Worship, Lord of Every Heart, Friends, Ruach, The Father's Embrace and Love's Compelling Power, as well as his brand new album Monument to Mercy.


Stuart also contributes to the School of Worship, a training course for church musicians and worship leaders, sharing his valuable insights into the importance of character, prayer, study and openness to the Holy Spirit in times of preparation as well as when leading a worship time.
