How can a loving God allow natural disasters like Haiti to happen?
In recent weeks we have seen the utter devastation that has come about in Haiti with nearly 230,000 people having been estimated to have died as a result of an earthquake. When you consider the million people who have been left homeless and destitute as well, it causes deep emotion and a very real sense [...]
Sacred Mums – 1 Corinthians 7:14
We often neglect the subject of motherhood, but it is a relevant topic to all of us – at the very least, we were all born of a mother. It is also an incredibly important and significant role within the church, and should be viewed as such. It is means whereby Jesus can be taken into the home and the family, even if the mum is the only Christian in that place (which is mainly who the apostle Paul is addressing in this verse). Mums can bring godly influence.

Family Life

"Building upon the principles God has given us"

Would you like to know how to stay in love beyond the honeymoon? Or maybe you're wondering ‘Will he ever pop the question?’

Would you give anything to get your three year old to go to bed and stay there…all night!

Often the questions we are faced with are more perplexing than these and sometimes you just don’t know where to go for answers. A happy marriage and well-adjusted kids seem to be a zillion miles out of sight...

How to avoid disaster: Sometimes you just need to ask for a little help .

Couple'At CCK, we consider marriage and family life to be vitally important, 'writes Wendy Virgo, wife of Terry and mother of five. 'Secure families are the backbone of a stable nation, while the breakdown of family life is both the cause and consequence of a broken society.

'Every day disturbing stories in the media assail us: suicide rates are high, people are depressed and lonely, and marriages are under pressure.

Strong families and healthy relationships

Right4Master'People who become Christians begin to live God’s way, finding in Him the love and power that can change individuals and, consequently, change society. We were designed to be relational beings, and He has set out principles which help us to build happy and fulfilling marriages, and stable homes.

'CCK believes these principles can be applied to help you, whatever your personal situation - whether you are a Christian or not, whether you are a single mum, celebrating your silver wedding anniversary, or wondering what to do with difficult teenagers.

Courses and events

Baby'To help you explore these principles, CCK runs marriage and parenting courses, and groups for young mothers. We also hold special days for men which include a hearty breakfast, talks and discussion groups; and a similar event for women – but with cake!

'Lots of people have found these events and courses have helped them to build foundations into their relationships, have given parents more confidence in loving and training their children, and have provided singles with all-important opportunities for fellowship in a safe environment.'
