Jesus said that he’s coming back - but when?
There has been a lot of speculation (and prediction in some cases) about the exact day when Jesus would come back to the world. For instance, Nostradamus predicted that “from the sky will come a great King of Terror” in 1999. This was interpreted by some as a prophecy about the second coming of Jesus. [...]

CCK Deaf

Deaf Signer

Vision of CCK Deaf

We aim to create a safe environment with an emphasis of accepting one another regardless of age, background and levels of hearing loss through fellowship and prayer. (Galatians 3: 28)

"...Seeking to reach our community with a message of love, forgivness and wholeness"

What is CCK Deaf?

Sign LanguageThis group is comprised of people with various levels of hearing loss, whether they sign or not. They are a group of people who are passionate to live out the gospel of Jesus Christ through feeding on the living Word of God and doing life together! This ministry is led by Neil and Helen Robinson, who are profoundly deaf sign-language users themselves and members of CCK.

Sundays

We meet at the Clarendon Centre every Sunday morning for a time of worship and teaching. There is BSL Communication Support every Sunday morning at the 11.30am (second) morning service only. There is also a loop system available to assist hearing aid users who are unable to hear clearly.

Small Group

We meet up during the week to study the Bible and have a time of worship in members’ homes. We also have times of just hanging out!

Social Networking

You can find us on facebook also, follow this link to connect with us. We also have a helpful BSL video on our facebook group watch it here.

Mission

Occasionally we put on events that help us to engage with the deaf in our city.

Alpha

God has given us such a heart for the local deaf community, and we will be hosting a table in our next ‘Alpha’ course in BSL (British Sign Language) solely for deaf BSL users in October.  BSL is a minority language that most culturally deaf people use to communicate with each other daily.

It is vital to communicate the content of the Alpha course in a language (BSL) that members of the local deaf community can understand. It will of course be the same as the material being presented to hearing guests.  It’s also a great opportunity for deaf guests to meet Christians who are themselves deaf.

And the format? While everyone is enjoying their meal, we will host a table with our deaf guests and get to know each other in the relaxed atmosphere. Then when the talk begins, the deaf BSL users will be invited to another room for a full talk given in pure BSL!

We believe that God is doing his stuff among the deaf community within the City of Brighton & Hove! We would love to extend this personal invite to you to join us in October. It will change your life!
